A rant on copyright.

The age of free ideas is over.

My most popular song of 2012, a remix of Face to Face by Daft Punk, has been deleted for violation of copyright or whatever, I don't care. So my remix of the group that samples from many different other artists purely for artistic expression has been deleted. A not for sale, purely for fun expression of my mind has been deleted because some rich prick at EMI or whatever has PAID for the intellectual rights to the samples I used in the remix.

I know Newgrounds probably doesn't have a choice in the matter, they've probably got their balls in a vice grip so I don't blame them, I'm simply complaining about what the music industry has become. Money, money, money. After all, money makes the world go around, right? Wrong, fucking angular momentum makes the world go around.

Anyway, it's a sad, sad, sad world we live in, where ideas have a price and creativity is something to be invested in.
