chill

I can't say I've heard the original, but I can definitely say that I'm loving this track. So chilled out and relaxing, that melody is just so nice, I really like it a lot. I like the space in this, not too many sounds clashing at once, just little things complimenting each other. Great work on this man, keep up the good stuff.

Great atmosphere

When the song started to build, I was reminded of the Trance classics of yesteryear. The intro had a great atmosphere and really drew me into the song, which I always love. The synth that started at 1:15 was good, but I think it would've sounded better if the cuttoff frequency was closed instead of fully open. It sounded great when the beat came back at 1:43, I was expecting some kind of uplift and downsweep at that point, but it still worked without it. Overall, great song you got here :)

Hikari responds:

Thank you for a real review! Its always refreshing to here some ones opinion. When I began to right this song, I only had the bass line in mind. It was supposed to be Trance, but I think I mixed it into house by mistake. Still turned out great though I think. xD

broooo

Man, this track is sick. Great synth work, lots of variety in the different sounds. It's got a great swing to it, and I liked the Jazz oriented chords. Not much more to say, great mastering (which is always a pleasure to hear on this site). Mega props, bro!

Or4nges responds:

Thanks dude! I put huge effort into getting a good variety in this one. Can't say the chords are exactly jazzy though :P Maybe the piano part sounds a tad like it.

Anyway, thanks so much! Glad you like it.

Repect

I don't know if you're familiar with the recently deceased Japanese hip-hop producer, Nujabes. His music always managed to take me to another place, away from the chaos of the world and into a blissful state of beautiful music. This reminded me of him so much, and I thank you for it. The samples are beautiful and well picked.

I really do hope you continue along this path of music, because it's so amazing.

oh my god :D i am a huge fan of seba jun! (also of your music btw). thank you so much for the kind words. you're the man!

loved it :)

One of my favourite Deadmau5 songs, I seem to be the only one who's favourite album was Random Album Title. Pretty impressive for your second try at Ableton, I remember all my first stuff I made while messing around with FL was horrible. Great job man, I hope you don't mind.. this kinda inspired me to take a shot at a remix myself, is that cool? :)

K-POW responds:

Thanks for the kind review!

It's actually also one of my favorite Deadmau5 songs, and Random Album Title is my favorite album too ;)

Ofcourse you can do it, send a PM when you're done with the remix.. more music for the people! ;)

peace!

Chill broooooo

I really love this, very relaxing and chill. The drums I like especially, very crisp and punchy, just the way I like them ;)

One suggestion, maybe build up the cutoff on the synth, then once it peaks send it back down along with a reverse crash or a sweep, I only say that because it started to overpower the rest of the song. Amazing man, great work.

Amazing

This captures such an amazing Zelda vibe. The vocals are amazing, very medieval and magical. I wish you luck in your future endeavors!

VGSongbird responds:

Thank you. I appreciate it ^_^ (and I'm gonna need all the luck I can get)

not bad, just needs some adjustments

First off, this song isn't bad, but in my opinion it lacks the variation that House depends upon, there is a lot of repetition of the same sounds that becomes less and less pleasant to listen to.

I've noticed a lot of people who make House fall into the trap of using the Chords of Life patch without really adding anything to it themselves. By no means am I saying this patch shouldn't be used, I use it ALL the time, it's great after all! But maybe only if used sparingly and subtly.

The intro doesn't really draw the listener into the song. A basic kick drum for a few bars doesn't really make the listener want to hear more. I find ambient sounds work well for intros, little fills and sounds that draw you deep into the song.

Anyway, this has some things to be fixed, but it's coming along and you will definitely get better. Good work!

NitrooZ responds:

Okay, thanks for helping me :DD
